Divorce
Divorce in Korea can proceed either by mutual agreement or through a court trial. An amicable, uncontested divorce is often the simplest path, but if one spouse does not consent, the case must go to court, where a divorce will only be granted if it meets the legal grounds set out in Korean law. Property division
Property division is often the most complex and time-consuming part of a divorce. Every account, property, and asset must be reviewed to determine whether it is subject to division, an appropriate division ratio must be established, and the parties must agree on which specific assets each will receive.
