The Seoul Metropolitan Government has officially honored Vice Chair Hwang Se Hoon of the Seoul Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Review Committee with a Plaque of Appreciation (No. 2025-1768), recognizing his outstanding service over the past four years.

The award was presented by Mayor Oh Se-hoon on July 7, 2025, in acknowledgment of Hwang’s dedicated public service throughout his term on the committee, which ran from June 8, 2021, to June 7, 2025.
During his tenure in the 1st and 2nd terms of the committee, Vice Chair Hwang played a critical role in strengthening institutional responses to sexual harassment and violence in Seoul’s public sphere. His work was particularly impactful in the areas of prevention policy development, public awareness, and advisory support, leaving a lasting legacy on the city’s gender equality framework.
The engraved message on the plaque expressed the city’s deep appreciation, stating that his service is “greatly remembered and appreciated,” and that the award is given in gratitude for his sincere dedication.
The recognition underscores Seoul’s ongoing commitment to building a safer, more inclusive city by supporting those who actively work to prevent gender-based violence.
